The 8th International Conference on the Biology of Butterflies will be 11-14 June 2018, hosted by the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM). It will be held at NCBS, a premier research institute in India that works in frontier areas across the biological sciences. Situated on a cozy, green campus away from the bustle of Bangalore city, NCBS campus provides an intellectually stimulating and comfortable environment for academic interaction for an international scientific community. NCBS occupies a corner of a larger academic campus (Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra, or GKVK) that houses a cluster of research institutions, including a prominent agricultural university with an excellent department of entomology.

The conference will be held in three adjacent seminar halls, Dasheri (170 seater), Haapus (130 seater) and Raspuri (200 seater), with up to three concurrent sessions. These air-conditioned seminar halls are equipped with high-quality audio-visual systems and video recording facilities that are suitable for hosting academic talks and other events. These can be connected via live telecasts if needed.

The campus has a gym, a pool, a cricket/football (soccer) ground, a creche, canteen, faculty and guest housing, as well as other essential and luxury amenities.

More information about the conference venue, local information, maps, etc., are easily available online, and you can ask us if you need more information.
